Location: Alaska
Rotation: 14x14 or 21x21 (days or nights, including weekends and holidays)



Responsibilities
  • Ensures the regular preventative maintenance activities for the mechanical components of the rig are accomplished.

  • Installs, repairs, and tests all mechanical equipment at the rig site.

  • Conducts safety inspections of all major pieces of equipment, making repairs, adjustments, and calibrations as required.

  • Ensures that an adequate amount of spare parts are on hand at all times.

  • Submits requisitions as needed.

  • Participates in rig down and rig up activities to ensure proper disconnect, transportation, and connection of mechanical equipment.

  • Ability to perform essential functions of this position with or without reasonable accommodations.



Qualifications
  • 1–2 years experience as a Rig Mechanic.

  • Ability to wear respiratory protective devices.

  • Must have reliable transportation to and from the worksite.

  • High school diploma or equivalent.

  • Knowledge and experience in maintaining and repairing various types of diesel engines and mechanical devices.

  • Repetitively bend, stoop, kneel, twist, and crawl, often while in Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).

  • Ability to work outdoors in extreme Arctic conditions, including subzero temperatures, snow, and ice.

  • Must be able to understand and follow both verbal and written instructions.

  • Must pass all required pre-employment and site-specific drug and fitness-for-duty testing.

  • Must possess a valid Driver’s License (no restrictions) – Real ID compliant, suitable for travel to Alaska and the North Slope.
