Duties and Responsibilities:
- Provide an experienced, competent and qualified on-site contract PM who shall be based at the MVK Harbor and be responsible for overall contract performance
- Have full authority to act for the contractor on all contract matters relating to the daily operation of this contract.
- The PM must be fully qualified and able to perform all guard duties, in addition to their management/supervisory duties
- The name(s), resume' and supporting qualifications supporting documentation for the proposed PM and designated alternate shall be submitted, in writing, to the COR for review and approval prior to the assignment of duties.
- The COR may decline the proposed PM or designated alternate if the COR determines that the individual in question is not suitably experienced, or has other background issues that may jeopardize life of personnel or property.
- The PM or designated alternate shall be available between the core hours of 0800 to 1600, Monday through Friday, excluding holidays or when the government facility is closed for administrative reasons.
- Afterhours contact information for the PM and designated alternate shall be provided to the COR and SLE Manager for emergency/urgent requirements.
- The PM should have a minimum of 8 years of experience in law enforcement or military service, with minimum of 2 years in a supervisory role.
Requirements:
- Must be a U.S. citizen
- Must be 21 years of age or older
- Must have received, at a minimum, a high school diploma or General Equivalency Diploma from an accredited institution recognized by the U.S. Department of Education.
- Must be able to fluently speak, read, comprehend and compose coherent written reports in English, possess good written and verbal communication skills, have sufficient knowledge of proper English grammar, spelling, capitalization, and punctuation rules to identify errors and make corrections are to be employed under this contract.
Conditions of Employment:
- All personnel required to perform security guard duties must in addition to the qualification standards, meet all conditions of employment prior to being assigned to duty.
- Must take and pass initial and periodic (annual) Physical Ability Test (PAT) to demonstrate physical fitness and ability to perform the essential functions of the position.
- Must undergo and pass initial and periodic (annual) medical evaluations to assess the ability to take the PAT and to perform the essential functions of the job, with or without reasonable accommodations. Report a complete health history and report any changes in health status that may impair the ability to perform the essential job functions.
- Must qualify and remain qualified for the Individual Reliability Program (IRP).
- Must pass initial and periodic drug testing.
- Must possess a motor vehicle license.
- Must meet the requirements under 18 USC 922(g)(9) (The Lautenberg Amendment).
- Must sign a DD Form 2760 (Qualification to Possess Firearms or Ammunition).
- Must pass semiannual weapons qualifications.
- Must successfully complete a company-sponsored, locally structured security guard training program, authority and jurisdiction training, and use of force training; and acknowledge, in writing, a clear understanding of their authority and jurisdictional limits, with a requirement for annual review and acknowledgement thereafter.
- Must complete an initial and annual cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) certification and first aid requirements.
- Must meet all annual training, re-certification and written acknowledgement requirements.
- Must be able to wear their uniform and protection equipment while maintaining a high standard of appearance and hygiene.
