We are entering the final construction phase of our future factory in Virginia, Richmond including installing new logistics and packaging equipment.

We therefore need an Assistant Project Manager for whom creativity, logistics and project management are natural capabilities and at the same time being a very structured person, who can tie all the loose strings and help us make this phenomenal project a big success!

Please note that this role is based out of Billund, Denmark - relocation support is not offered

Core Responsibilities

In this 2-year temporary role as you will cut across administrative work, driving resource management and being the center point of coordinating complex program management. Primarily responsibility is to support across the Logistics LEGO Manufacturing Virginia (LVA) project programme towards our LVA Programme director with:

  • Strategic assignments and reporting towards GF Steering group and Top management and assist with communication material

  • Support the Risk & opportunities process across our Logistic programme

  • Update and maintain overall timelines and dependencies across streams

  • Support towards cross functional actions

  • Support with plan, coordination and execution of workshops

  • Help with documentation and implement changes based on decision and progress

  • Support and take action on part of projects aligned with Project Managers (across all logistics streams)

  • Support with ad-hoc minor tasks and assignments of various kinds, such as securing Minutes of Meetings, presentations, meeting facilitation and arrangements, planning programme meetings calendars etc.

You will be joining the Manufacturing Design (MD&I)and Implementation department in Billund, Denmark. MD&I is a global organization of technical project managers, project engineers and technology specialists with a wide knowledge and a diverse group of backgrounds.

As Assistant Project Manager in the MD&I you will be working within our ONE Logistics organization, being a part of the Logistics Project team, with the focus on our LVA Logistics programme. The role will collaborate with all other teams members across both MD&I and other Logistics areas, having both sparring partners and engaging colleagues.

Do you have what it takes?

We imagine that you bring a positive and open go-to attitude. You have passion for logistics flow and bring experience working within logistics and warehouse operations as engineer or junior project manager. Furthermore, we are looking for skills as:

  • Project management experience

  • Good communication skills both verbally and written

  • Proficiency in English

  • Ability to work unsupervised, as required

  • Ability to optimally prioritize workload, manage multiple tasks concurrently and pay meticulous attention to details

  • Experience with Value stream analysis and documentation is a benefit
