Assistant Project Manager
Our Round Rock, TX business unit is growing! We are looking for an Assistant Project Manager to join our team to provide critical support to the wider Project team ensuring successful execution of programs across the business. This role is designed for a high-potential individual who will take on cross-functional responsibilities, assist with day-to-day project oversight, and help drive schedule, cost, and quality performance. You will serve as a liaison between Project Management, Engineering, Operations, Supply Chain, and customers, ensuring alignment and timely communication. This role is intended to develop into a full Project Manager position as the candidate gains experience and demonstrates capability.

Salary Information: $94,000 - $110,000 annually, plus bonus

Your Challenge:
Support Project Managers in coordinating and executing project plans, schedules, and deliverables.
Assist in tracking program milestones, risks, and financials, escalating concerns proactively.
Act as an on-site liaison for remote PMs, providing eyes-on support, facilitating in-person communication, and ensuring issues are captured and addressed quickly.
Prepare project documentation including meeting minutes, action trackers, status reports, and customer updates.
Help manage change requests, deviations, and approvals in coordination with Engineering and Quality.
Monitor material status, lead times, and supplier updates in collaboration with Supply Chain.
Facilitate cross-functional meetings, ensuring follow-up actions are assigned and completed.
Support new product introductions and production transitions by coordinating between PMs and functional teams.
Assist with customer communication as directed by Project Managers, including supporting customer visits and audits.
Contribute to continuous improvement efforts within the Project Management organization.
Develop knowledge across multiple product lines with the goal of growing into a full Project Manager role.
What You Bring:
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, or related field preferred; equivalent experience considered.
2–4 years of professional experience in project coordination, operations, engineering, or related roles.
Manufacturing experience required, highly regulated industry preferred.
Strong organizational and communication skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
Experience with project tracking tools (e.g., MS Project, Jira, SharePoint) preferred.
Ability to build strong working relationships across functions.
Proactive problem-solver with high attention to detail.
Ability to work independently and support multiple PMs simultaneously.
