Role Overview
As a Business IT Applications Project Manager, you will lead the design, implementation, and management of application solutions that align with global IT strategies and regional business needs. Acting as the bridge between IT and business, you will leverage strong process knowledge to deliver effective, value-driven solutions. You will collaborate with business users, cross-functional teams, and vendors to ensure the delivery of high-quality services and enhancements. Key responsibilities include driving operational excellence through incident management, process optimization, and innovation to enhance user experience and business outcomes. You will also play a key role in application modernization and integration with corporate platforms.

 

Success in this role requires a proactive mindset, strong stakeholder engagement, and the ability to lead through influence. The ideal candidate is a collaborative leader with both technical expertise and strategic vision, focused on delivering measurable IT value.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure high-quality application support across APAC through collaboration with AMS vendors; monitor and improve vendor performance against SLAs and KPIs
  • Lead incident resolution, root cause analysis, and preventive measures to minimize system disruptions and ensure application availability
  • Identify and implement process improvements, system upgrades, and automation to enhance application performance and efficiency
  • Track and report on performance metrics and deliver actionable insights to senior management
  • Drive observability by selecting monitoring tools, defining KPIs, and setting up alerting systems for continuous improvement
  • Collaborate with cloud, infrastructure, and business teams to ensure seamless application integration and support cross-regional initiatives
  • Apply business process expertise to translate requirements into effective IT solutions and support user adoption
  • Lead application rationalization and standardization efforts aligned with enterprise architecture and IT strategy, expanding regional solutions where appropriate

 

What We’re Looking For:

  • Degree in information technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
  • Minimum 10 years of experience in software application development, support, and project delivery.
  • Proficiency in .Net/Java, SQL, web development, and cloud-native technologies.
  • Good knowledge of software development life cycle and understanding of the building blocks of the information system: application layers, infrastructure and security.
  • Excellent communication, stakeholder engagement, and vendor management skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional teams and manage complex projects.
  • Experience in the shipping or logistics industry is a strong advantage.
  • Certifications such as PMP, ITIL, and Lean Six Sigma are preferred.
