Position Summary
The Business Operations Manager role and their team provide modeling, budgeting, process coordination of the GAAP earnings and capital review process, and digital support across the fuels value chain
Responsibilities:
• Manages a team of analysts responsible for providing the Commercial leadership team with information for financial and operational decisions related to asset utilization, sales portfolio, and business unit performance.
• Identifies, analyzes, and monitors business drivers that affect profitability, to optimize business value of Commercial and MPC overall.
• Engages with internal customers as trusted business partner to identify opportunities and implement solutions for improvement in the efficiency and effectiveness of logistics analysis processes, models, data structures, tools and systems.
• Leads Business Optimization strategic and operational planning for assigned division and regions. Ensures alignment of division and refinery-specific economic targets with objectives established for the enterprise.
• Drives efforts to continually improve business practices and processes to maximize resource effectiveness and operational excellence.
• Leads and directs all general coordinating efforts within the division, as well as cross-organizational efforts such as space planning, headcount tracking, and employee development.
• Collaborates with BP&A to review and interpret GAAP financial results utilizing operational data sources.
Minimum Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Marketing or related discipline required.
• Ten (10) or more years of industry or related experience.
