The purpose of this position is to help maintain and beautify our downtown district. Tasks include watering hanging baskets, light landscaping repair, and litter control. This part-time, seasonal position will average 20 hours a week during the summer, with slightly fewer hours during the rest of the year. The selected candidate will earn $15.00/hour.
Must be a self-starter, with the ability to identify the tasks that need to be completed, and to establish priorities. The selected candidate should expect to work early morning hours to completed the watering requirements before the downtown businesses open. This position reports directly to the Director of Marketing and Economic Development.

Exposure to a variety of weather conditions is to be expected: Must possess the ability to access remote sites that may require climbing and traversing rough terrain; Must be able to sit, stand, or walk for significant periods daily. Required to reach with hands and arms; climb and balance; stoop, kneel, crouch, and crawl; Lift and/or carry up to 50 pounds, and pull, push, or drag up to 75 pounds of equipment and/or other materials; Must possess general manual dexterity to operate equipment, tools, controls or other objects; reach with hands or arms; Must be able to use step stools and ladders to store and retrieve items of various sizes, shapes and forms; Must possess mental acuity for attention to accuracy and detail; Must see in the normal visual range with or without correction; Must hear in the normal audio range with or without correction; Must be able to hear clearly when working around equipment and traffic.
