We are looking for an experienced Cloud Ops Engineer (Azure Focused) to join a long-term project supporting the design, deployment, and maintenance of advanced cloud infrastructures. The professional will play a key role in defining technical requirements, collaborating with cloud providers, implementing automation, and ensuring system reliability through CI/CD processes, monitoring, and security governance.

This position is remote from any European country, with 3 days of onsite presence per month in Brussels, and offers a long-term, full-time engagement.

Technical Tools & Knowledge

  • Advanced experience with Azure Cloud Infrastructure, including AKS (Azure Kubernetes Service) and Azure DevOps CI/CD pipelines.

  • Proficiency with Terraform, Ansible, and Infrastructure as Code (IaC) frameworks.

  • Deep knowledge of Docker and containerized environments.

  • Familiarity with Nexus, Maven, NPM, and other related build and repository management tools.

  • Scripting proficiency in PowerShell, Python, Shell/Bash, or equivalent automation languages.

  • Experience implementing monitoring and alert systems, setting operational standards, and enforcing security policies.

  • Understanding of Azure data services (Azure Service Bus, Cosmos DB, Data Factory, Event Hubs, API Management, Synapse, Databricks) and Data Mesh concepts is an asset.

Experience

  • Minimum 3 years of experience in Cloud Operations or DevOps Engineering, with exposure to complex, multi-tiered architectures.

  • Proven record of automation and infrastructure deployment in production environments.

  • Experience managing CI/CD pipelines and optimizing deployment workflows.

  • Strong capability for root cause analysis, performance troubleshooting, and preventive maintenance.

  • Demonstrated ability to define and maintain standards and best practices across multiple projects.

  • Prior involvement in end-to-end project lifecycle, from design through implementation and documentation.

Education

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field.

  • Relevant certifications in Azure or DevOps are highly valued.

Employment Conditions

  • Modality: Remote from any European country, with 3 days/month onsite in Brussels.
