WHAT YOU WILL DO

PROJECT & SYSTEM MANAGEMENT

  • Organize and maintain production to ensure all projects are in their correct statuses and meeting deadlines.
  • Establish a communication feedback loop to update clients on the progress of all projects and ensure proper communication flow within the Communications team.
  • Coordinate and communicate with other Central teams and vendors to get signage, print, and specialty items produced/delivered.
  • Upload and distribute final digital files through the brand folder to support campuses and Saddleback ministries.
  • Create and maintain project management systems supporting the production environment.

ADMINISTRATION & SUPPORT

  • Define the scope of large-scale or special-term projects in collaboration with the Communications Pastor; determine the resources (time, capacity, staff, money) required; create a project plan that schedules the needed resources and corresponding tasks to produce and deliver the requested project on time
  • Reduce project risk by adhering to a policy of open communication, ensuring every significant participant has an opportunity to express opinions and concerns

VOLUNTEER DEVELOPMENT

  • Help develop a team of volunteers and the administrative support needed to assist Saddleback Church ministries, campuses, and the Communications team.
  • Develop sizeable and scalable training materials that empower volunteer Communication Teams that support the growth and health of campuses and ministries.

WHAT YOU HAVE DONE

  • Have 3–5 years of hands-on project management experience, working across multiple methodologies with a strong emphasis on Kanban.
  • Have developed a high level of proficiency in Google Workspace to manage work, collaborate with teams, and keep projects organized.
  • Have demonstrated exceptionally strong written and verbal communication skills while thriving in fast-paced environments.
  • Have consistently asked thoughtful, probing questions to uncover unstated assumptions and bring clarity to complex situations.
  • Have successfully navigated challenges and resolved conflict in ways that strengthened collaboration and moved work forward.

Saddleback Church’s pay philosophy is based on internal and external data for pay equity and budgetary considerations for effective stewardship. The estimated pay rate for this position is $71,000-$75,000 per year, depending on experience. We will provide a pay rate within our salary structure that fits a candidate’s qualifications and experience for the job. The posted wage range does not guarantee a specific job offer.
