Directional Drilling (HDD) Operator

We are currently seeking an experienced Directional Drilling (HDD) Operator to join our team delivering civil and infrastructure projects across Western Australia.
About the Role
This position involves the safe and accurate delivery of HDD works across metro, regional and remote WA locations, including installations beneath roads, rail, waterways and existing services.
Key Requirements

• Minimum 5 years’ experience as an HDD / Directional Drilling Operator
• Proven experience on civil and infrastructure projects
• Competent in:
• Pilot drilling, reaming and product pipe installation
• Operating HDD rigs (Vermeer, Ditch Witch, Prime Drilling or similar)
• Ability to read and interpret bore plans and construction drawings
• Strong understanding of ground conditions, slurry management and drill fluids
• Experience working around live services
• Commitment to safety, QA/QC and environmental controls
• Australian working rights
• Construction White Card
• Current Australian driver’s licence (HR/HC desirable)

Desirable

• FIFO / DIDO flexibility across WA
• Confined Space & Working at Heights tickets
• Experience mentoring offsiders or junior crew
• High-risk licences (excavator, vacuum truck, dogging, rigging, EWP)
