Role Overview

Reporting to the CCO, this role will be part of our Origination team, which is tasked with commercializing the clean energy projects Zelestra is developing by originating, negotiating, and closing power sale agreements with our customers. 

Role Requirements

Qualifications:

• Demonstrated track record of originating, negotiating, and executing power sales or similar agreements with customers.
• Strong relationships and ability to work with customers to understand their power, energy, and sustainability needs. 
• Ability to design and structure innovative products that meet customer needs. 
• Quantitative and analytical skills to assess the value of offtake agreements to Zelestra and to our customers; and ability to clearly articulate this value proposition.
• Deep familiarity with US power markets (particularly ERCOT, MISO, SPP, and PJM) and renewable energy technologies (particularly solar, energy storage, and wind). 
• Entrepreneurial mindset; willingness to jump into the trenches to ensure things get done to a high standard; ability to communicate well; sense of humor; ownership and execution mentality.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience and trust-based relationships with corporate customers procuring clean energy, including hyperscalers and major data center operators, and key utilities in our target growth regions.

Role Responsibility

• Customer Relationships.  Engaging with our clean energy customers to understand their clean energy objectives and requirements.  Maintain trusted relationships with key customers, developing Zelestra’s reputation as a partner of choice.
• PPA Origination and Execution.  Working with our customers to negotiate and execute agreements to commercialize our clean energy projects.  These include traditional Power Purchase Agreements, BESS services contracts, or more tailored structured products utilizing one or more of Zelestra’s clean energy projects.
• Product development.  Innovation is core to our strategy.  After understanding our customers’ unique needs, designing new products that meet those needs.
• Commercial input on growth strategy.  Based on customer discussions, market intelligence, and informed analysis, providing guidance to our development team regarding preferred markets and technologies to grow our project portfolio.
