Ensuring that all drilling activities are conducted in accordance with the highest level of safety and environ-mental standards.
Drilling Engineering and Operations Management:
• Support the technical integrity and assurance of well designs by ensuring full integration between subsur-face and wells teams throughout the planning phase.
• Develop and maintain the Drilling Basis of Design (BoD) in partnership with the subsurface team.
• Assist in front-end planning for development wells, optimizing well designs, casing, cementing, and fluid programs.
• Review existing well designs and propose optimizations to enhance operational efficiency.
• Lead and coordinate the execution of offshore drilling operations, including horizontal wells, multi-lat-erals, and sidetracks.
• Ensure the delivery of comprehensive field development drilling engineering.
Cost and Resource Management:
• Prepare cost estimates for drilling projects.
Contracting & Vendor Management:
• Support the contracting process, from preparing scopes of work to selecting rigs, well equipment, and ser-vices.
Ensure that all technical elements and commercial recommendations align with the company's operational objectives.
• Assist in contractor performance management to uphold high standards from rigs, equipment, and well service providers.
Performance Monitoring:
• Help track and report performance metrics related to drilling operations and procurement efficiency.
• Contribute to the analysis of supply chain operations, performance KPIs, and cost metrics to facilitate con-tinuous improvement initiatives.
Collaboration and Relationship Management:
• Ensure effective coordination between in-house technical support and external drilling service providers.
• Collaborate closely with the Drilling Superintendent and Senior Drilling Engineer to ensure operations align with the approved plan.
Regulatory & Audit Compliance:
• Ensure that drilling operations adhere to national and international regulations and standards.
• Participate in rig/well site and service base audits to ensure compliance with international standards.
Reporting & Stakeholder Management:
• Prepare and deliver regular reports on drilling operations, cost estimates, and project progress to senior management.
Bachelor’s / master’s degree in petroleum, Mechanical, Chemical Engineering etc.
Experience:
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in drilling engineering, specifically in offshore projects.
Skills:
• Proficient in well design, directional drilling, and advanced drilling engineering software (e. g., Landmark suite).
• Knowledgeable in well control and blowout prevention techniques.
Other:
• Well Control Certification (IWCF Level 4: Supervisor level).
• Experience in drilling gas wells in shallow water and offshore environments.
