🛠 We're Hiring: Drilling Planning Engineer (KZ Passport Holders)
📍 Location: Aksai, Kazakhstan
🕒 Rotation schedule 14/14
We are looking for a highly motivated Drilling Planning Engineer to join our team in Aksai on a rotational basis. The successful candidate will play a key role in well planning, risk analysis, and ensuring operational efficiency and safety throughout the drilling lifecycle.
🔹 Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with subsurface teams to develop safe and cost-effective drilling plans.
- Provide technical input and support for well design, permitting, and execution phases.
- Analyze and review geological and technical data to identify potential drilling risks.
- Participate in the development of drilling programs, change requests, and deviation assessments.
- Ensure compliance with HSE policies, industry standards, and regulatory requirements.
- Support well performance improvement through post-drilling analysis and lessons learned.
- Prepare technical documentation for tenders and evaluate technical proposals.
- Maintain accurate input in daily reporting systems and cost databases.
✅ Requirements:
- Higher technical education and minimum 3 years of relevant experience
(or vocational technical education with 4+ years in a similar role)
Strong knowledge of:
- Drilling and completion technologies
- Risk management and HSE standards
- Regulatory and operational documentation
Experience with:
- Well planning software (e.g. Wellview, Prosper, StressCheck, WellCat)
MS Office and technical reporting tools
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Effective communication in English (written and verbal)
- Ability to work in a multicultural team
