Drilling Operator
OneStaffWe are recruiting on behalf of a well-established civil and piling contractor looking for an experienced Drilling/Piling Operator to join their team on a permanent basis.
While this role is Christchurch based, the work is project-driven and will involve regular travel throughout the South Island, with occasional projects in the North Island. Travel and away allowances are provided, along with a work vehicle and fuel card.
About the role:
- Operating 40-60T piling and drilling equipment
- Supporting piling operations both in the cab and on the ground
- Assisting with general site duties
- Working away from home when projects require
- Maintaining strong health and safety standards
This is a practical, hands-on role for someone who is happy to jump out of the machine and work alongside the crew.

What we're looking for:
- Experience operating large drilling or piling equipment
- Minimum Class 2 licence with WTR endorsement
- Willingness to travel for work
- Strong work ethic and team-first attitude
