EL1 Senior Project Manager

Approximate 12-month contract| Canberra Location | $78.95 - $88.31 per hour plus 11.5% superannuation | Minimum NV1 clearance required

OVERVIEW

Our Federal Government client is currently seeking an experienced Senior Project Manager to join their team at the EL1 level. Within this role you will support the transition of Australia’s assistance from ODA to non-ODA financing.

YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Identify the impacts of ODA graduation for development policy and program management with a focus on procurement and contracting implications.
  • Develop a whole of program implementation plan and roadmap for transition.
  • Coordinate workstreams to support transition of the program with stakeholders.
  • Monitor workstreams and provide progress updates to senior officials on program management transitions, recommending paths forward. 
  • Work cooperatively with Nauru Post, Nauru desk, Office of the Pacific, Finance Division, Legal Division, and development divisions. 
  • Produce stakeholder analysis of impacted external partners including Government of Nauru, managing contractors, delivery partners, and project beneficiaries.
  • Develop a change management strategy to outline the needs of each stakeholder group through the transition processes and how change will be managed for each group.
  • Develop a communications strategy to determine communication needs on ODA graduation impacts across various external audiences.
  • Contribute to drafting of s23 minutes and agreements that require amendment.
  • Scope and develop grant guidelines for the Nauru program and create options for omnibus guidelines for investment levels. 
  • Work with the Grants team to finalise and secure approval of grant guidelines.

EXPERIENCE / REQUIREMENTS

  • A valid Australian passport is required, due to potential travel requirements.
  • Experience working within project management at a senior level is required.
