Electrical Project Manager - Estimator

ABOUT THIS ELECTRICAL PROJECT MANAGER - ESTIMATOR JOB

This position requires 45 - 50 hours per week and is based out of our Glendale, AZ office. You will travel to job sites as necessary to oversee progress, but this is not a remote position. All of our jobs are in the greater Phoenix area so no overnights needed.

As an Electrical Project Manager - Estimator, you will focus on both estimating new projects and managing ongoing jobs. You will review blueprints, perform take-offs, and prepare detailed estimates using McCormick Estimating Software to create accurate bids. After submitting proposals, you will follow up with clients, negotiate contracts, and secure projects.

Once a project is underway, you will be responsible for overseeing budgets, schedules, and materials procurement. You will coordinate pre-job meetings, ensure long-lead items are ordered on time, and work closely with vendors and subcontractors. You will also monitor job costs, process change orders, and handle monthly billings. Throughout the process, you will collaborate with foremen and field superintendents, providing technical guidance to keep projects on track. Managing 5-8 active projects at different stages will require you to stay organized, proactive, and solutions-focused.

• 8+ years of experience in commercial electrical estimating and project management
• Valid AZ driver's license with a clean driving record
• Strong understanding of ground-up commercial projects ($250,000 - $2 million)
• Extensive knowledge of NEC codes and industry best practices
• Proficiency in McCormick Estimating Software (preferred), Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook), and Bluebeam
• Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills
• Ability to independently manage multiple projects (5-8 at a time)
• Confirmable professional references
