Engineering Manager IEGMG

Position Summary:

Head Engineering is responsible for the India office’s operational efficiency by ensuring that adequate support is provided at all stages of crane manufacturing. He will be responsible for the maintenance of all part numbers and drawings pertaining to all existing & proposed crane projects.

The job holder is responsible for product development as per customer specification and applicable code requirements. Generation of design calculations and drawings, coordination with draftsmen & other departments is the essentials of this position.

Key Responsibilities:

1.  Engineering estimation for cranes with respect to pre-sales activities along with Project Manager
2.  Project related engineering activities.
3.  Design optimum product incorporating the customer requirements to satisfy customer fully.
4.  Ensure the safety of the design by designing the product as per the applicable standards viz. API-2C.
5.  Prepare the sketches and make it available to the draftsman to draft it in final fabrication drawing.
6.  Maintain the documented records of the various design calculations.
7.  Analyze the product using various software for its safe working and maintain the reports of the analysis.
8.  Communicate with Manger design and draftsman and other departments to get the maximum inputs.
9.  Check and approve the final drawings and release it for the fabrication.
10.  Assist production and various departments in the execution of the project.
11.  Involve in product innovation and continuous improvement
12.  Ensure that QMS is being followed

Person Specifications:

PROFILE:

Head Engineering is a person who can provide necessary definition, development and deployment of the Engineering initiatives. An Engineering person with a strong technical understanding is required in this position.
