GTA is currently seeking an Environmental Project Manager with 5 or more years of experience for our Somerset, New Jersey Environmental Department. We’re growing, and this is an excellent opportunity for a seasoned environmental professional to grow with us! This position provides significant opportunities for long-term professional and financial growth and is ideal for a highly motivated individual at the Project Manager level.
Environmental Project Manager Responsibilities include:
- Manage projects from proposal to completion, including scope, budget and schedule
- Prepare proposals, technical reports, cost estimates and other deliverables
- Perform and write Phase I ESAs for residential and commercial projects
- Collect soil, soil gas, indoor air (i.e., vapor intrusion), and groundwater samples
- Evaluate analytical data and draw conclusions
- Coordinate and oversee the work of junior staff and field technicians
- Periodically represent GTA at outside networking events to build client relationships (required)
Environmental Project Manager Requirements:
- Minimum of 5 years of relevant environmental experience
- Strong knowledge of NJDEP regulations and technical guidance (required)
- Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science, Geology, Environmental Engineering, or a related field
- Highly proficient at aerial photography and map interpretation
- Excellent writing, proofreading, and interpersonal communication skills
- GIS experience a plus (not required)
- Self-motivated, highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to focus on complex tasks
