Job Overview:
Deliver Managed Pressure Drilling (MPD) revenue and margin targets in the GeoZone by leading the full techno‑commercial cycle: opportunity qualification, MPD value proposition creation (Victus/Modus/RCD/DDV), tender responses and pricing, PRA approvals, and contract handover to operations. Act as the primary technical interface in front of customers while collaborating with the Geozone Business Manager, Account Managers, and MPD engineering to ensure proposals are executable and aligned to OCP/Service Delivery flows.
Responsibilities:
CLIENT & COMMUNICATION
- Own customer‑facing MPD technical presentations and demonstrations; clearly articulate differentiation and competitive advantages.
- Develop Account Plan input for MPD Product Line, review quarterly with Sales leadership and GBM.
- Coordinate with Account Managers on opportunity management, contract handover, and client reviews.
- COMMERCIAL / TENDERING
- Lead techno‑commercial proposals and quotations, building optioned offers (equipment variants, mobilization plans, rate cards, GM targets).
- Drive PRA (Project Readiness Assessment) completion during bid preparation; update upon clarifications and secure tiered approvals.
- Maintain accurate revenue and margin forecasts based on operational assumptions and expenditure plans; highlight gaps early with recovery actions.
TECHNICAL RESPONSIBILITIES
- Translate customer requirements into MPD engineering deliverables (schematics, flow paths, calculations, software models).
- Align proposals with Operational Control Plan (OCP) / Service Delivery Flow; confirm resource readiness and equipment availability.
- Coordinate with Service Delivery, Operations Managers and Asset teams on mobilization, commissioning and redeployment strategies.
OPERATIONS & PERFORMANCE
- Support contract handover; ensure assumptions and risks are documented and accepted by execution teams.
- Track pipeline health; contribute to Commercial Intensity initiatives; update Salesforce/Xait deliverables on time.
- Capture case studies and Real Results with customers to accelerate MPD adoption.
Skills:
- Strong verifiable technical knowledge of advanced MPD systems, knowledge of WFRD systems is an advantage
- Proficiency with PRA, OCP/Service Delivery Flow, and bid governance (BSA/GOA).
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, ability to build value‑based propositions.
- Commercial acumen: pricing strategy, margin protection, option structuring and negotiation.
- Advanced computer and presentation skills, familiarity with Salesforce and XaitPorter.
- Strong technical knowledge on drilling operations including drilling fluids, DD, and downhole formations
Qualifications:
- Degree in Petroleum/Mechanical Engineering or related discipline.
- Minimum 5 years in MPD operations, engineering or technical sales, customer‑facing experience required.
- Minimum 5 years of MPD field background
- Demonstrated success in tendering and contract handovers for MPD or drilling services.
- International experience would be advantageous
- English proficiency at advanced level
