GOLF IRRIGATION TECHNICIAN

LOCATION: South Golf Course, Sun City

JOB SUMMARY: Maintains, repairs, and rebuilds components of the golf course irrigation system.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Records pump readings.

• Services pump lubrication system.

• Monitors effectiveness of individual sprinklers.

• Troubleshoots and overhauls irrigation system components.

• Determines and maintains adequate irrigation parts supply.

• Performs daily clean up of work area.

• Performs other duties as assigned.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:

• Computerized irrigation central experience preferred.
• One year of golf course maintenance or irrigation repair experience preferred.

SKILLS & ABILITIES:

• Working knowledge of methods, practices, material and tools used in irrigation repairs.
• Knowledge of efficient water management.
• Ability to perform moderate to heavy manual labor in a variety of weather and working conditions.
• Working knowledge of basic electricity and hydraulics relating to irrigation systems.
• Ability to lift 35lbs.
