ProSource, a leader in the right of way, acquisition, and relocation industry, is searching for a High Voltage Transmission Right of Way Agent for a potential project slated to start 2026. Headquartered in Minneapolis, MN, ProSource is poised for expansion and growth and are looking for the perfect Right of Way Agents to add to our team.

Job Summary:

The Right of Way Agent is responsible for acquiring property rights to construct, operate, and maintain a specific project. This agent will assist in landowner and permit agency negotiations for the acquisition of real estate right-of-way.

The ideal candidate will have worked with High Voltage Transmission lines with voltages of 500 kV or 765 kV

Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Negotiate property agreements and secure legal permissions for land usage.
  • Drafting any required documentation/contracts for property rights acquisition.
  • Mediating and negotiating agreements.
  • Ensuring compliance with local, state, and federal laws and regulations.
  • Cold calling and meeting with landowners for the purpose of gaining right-way access.
  • Consult with landowners and resolve any concerns or disputes related to property acquisition.
  • Work in coordination with surveyors, engineers, and other team members.

Qualifications:

  • 5-10+ years� experience in right-of-way / land acquisition, with at least 2 transmission projects (at higher voltages, ideally 500 kV or 765 kV)
  • Experience handling condemnation / eminent domain processes
  • Strong track record of successful easement negotiations, resolving disputes
  • Comfortable interacting with engineers, legal, permitting, and landowners
  • Proficient with GIS / mapping, parcel research, title work
  • Certified or experienced in IRWA or similar
  • Excellent communication & documentation skills
  • Experience in the region (or willingness to rapidly learn region-specific laws, land-ownership practices

Physical Demands and Work Environment:

The Right of Way Agent will spend a significant amount of time working in the field, using a computer and other standard office equipment. This position may also require significant travel to client locations, meeting with landowners and other designated locations to conduct job duties. Right of Way Agents may be required to sit or stand for extended periods of time and may utilize light lifting for carrying documents or equipment.
