<\/span><\/b><\/p>

The Sr. Dock Worker (Shipwright Department)<\/b> will be responsible for supervising and executing dock operations, including vessel docking, undocking, and maintenance support within the shipyard. The role requires hands -on marine experience, coordination skills, and a strong understanding of shipwright procedures to ensure safe and efficient dock operations.
<\/p>

Job Role & Responsibilities:<\/span><\/b>
<\/p>

·        <\/span><\/span><\/span>Supervise and carry out daily dock operations, including docking and undocking of vessels.
<\/p>

·        <\/span><\/span><\/span>Assist in positioning vessels safely in dry docks or slipways.
<\/p>

·        <\/span><\/span><\/span>Coordinate with dock engineers and supervisors to plan and execute work schedules.
<\/p>

·        <\/span><\/span><\/span>Inspect and maintain dock structures, fittings, and equipment for operational readiness.
<\/p>

·        <\/span><\/span><\/span>Guide and lead dock laborers in cleaning, maintenance, and repair activities.
<\/p>

·        <\/span><\/span><\/span>Handle ropes, chains, blocks, and other rigging tools used in docking operations.
<\/p>

·        <\/span><\/span><\/span>Ensure all safety precautions are followed during lifting, moving, or securing vessels.
<\/p>

·        <\/span><\/span><\/span>Support shipwright and maintenance teams during vessel repair and construction works.
<\/p>

·        <\/span><\/span><\/span>Report any equipment malfunction or safety hazard to supervisors immediately.
<\/p>

·        <\/span><\/span><\/span>Maintain a clean and safe working environment within the dock area.
<\/p>

Requirements<\/h3>

Qualifications & Experience:
<\/p>

·        <\/span><\/span><\/span>Education: High School / ITI / Diploma or equivalent.
<\/p>

·        <\/span><\/span><\/span>Experience: Minimum 5–8 years in dock or shipyard operations.
<\/p>

·        <\/span><\/span><\/span>Must have strong marine experience, preferably in shipwright or dry -dock environments.
<\/p>

·        <\/span><\/span><\/span>Gulf or overseas shipyard experience preferred.
<\/p>

Required Skills:<\/span><\/b>
<\/p>

·        <\/span><\/span><\/span>In -depth understanding of docking, undocking, and marine handling procedures.
<\/p>

·        <\/span><\/span><\/span>Strong leadership and supervision abilities.
<\/p>

·        <\/span><\/span><\/span>Knowledge of shipyard tools, lifting equipment, and rigging methods.
<\/p>

·        <\/span><\/span><\/span>Ability to read and follow work instructions and safety procedures.
<\/p>

·        <\/span><\/span><\/span>Excellent coordination and communication skills.
<\/p>

·        <\/span><\/span><\/span>Physically fit and able to work in a demanding marine environment.
<\/p>
