DescriptionFlexStaff is currently seeking a skilled Industrial Refrigeration / HVAC Technician to join our client's team at their Hicksville, NY facility. This is a great opportunity for an experienced technician to support critical systems and contribute to the success of our manufacturing operations.
Pay: 27.00-32.00 per hour
Full-Time on-site Monday-Friday 9:00-5:00p.m
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain and repair HVAC, refrigeration, and boiler systems across our facilities
- Troubleshoot issues involving walk-in coolers/freezers, cooling tunnels, boilers, and related equipment
- Perform preventive maintenance to ensure operational readiness
- Respond promptly to work orders and service calls
- Install, test, and repair HVAC-related systems and components
- Track work completed, time, and materials; assist in SOP creation for recurring maintenance tasks
- Interpret blueprints and ensure proper tools and materials are available for assigned tasks
Qualifications:
- EPA 608 Universal Certification (required)
- Minimum 5 years of commercial or industrial HVAC experience (10+ years preferred)
- Strong electrical troubleshooting and repair skills
- Experience in a food manufacturing or industrial facility is preferred
- Knowledge of desiccant dehumidifiers and familiarity with CMMS
- Proficient with Microsoft Word and Excel
- Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks
- Willingness to work overtime as needed
