Description

A prominent infrastructure development firm at the forefront of telecommunications network expansion throughout Greece is seeking an Infrastructure Project Manager. Our client plays a crucial role in Greece's comprehensive digital modernization initiative, supporting the nation's objective to achieve complete fiber optic coverage by 2030. Given Greece's accelerated fiber infrastructure rollout, this represents a unique opportunity to become part of our client's growing operations.

Our client currently maintains field teams operating throughout Greece and requires a seasoned Infrastructure Project Manager to oversee civil engineering programs for telecommunications network development.

Position Overview

In your role as Project Manager, you will oversee and manage the implementation of essential infrastructure developments, serving as our client's representative with customers, regulatory bodies, and contractors. This senior leadership role is ideal for a driven civil engineer seeking to create meaningful impact while advancing within our client's expanding Greek division.

Primary Duties:

  • Stakeholder Communication: Establish and maintain effective communication channels with key clients and municipal authorities, professionally representing our client organization
  • Issue Resolution: Address and resolve technical, operational, or contractual challenges that arise throughout project implementation
  • Regulatory Compliance: Guarantee adherence to Greek local regulations and our client's Project Management protocols
  • Budget & Schedule Management: Oversee project financial planning, timeline, scope, and quality standards to ensure adherence to deadlines and cost objectives
  • Quality Assurance: Verify proper implementation of subsurface infrastructure operations including excavation, cable installation, and surface restoration
  • Project Leadership: Organize, manage, and oversee all stages of telecommunications civil engineering developments from start to finish
  • Progress Reporting: Conduct follow-up sessions and develop detailed project advancement documentation
  • Team Management: Direct construction supervisors and collaborate with international teams spanning logistics, procurement, finance, equipment, and safety departments


Requirements

Technical Knowledge:

  • Understanding of telecommunications infrastructure specifications
  • Underground installation procedures (excavation, conduit systems, cable placement, pavement reconstruction)
  • Greek civil engineering standards and regulations
  • Project management frameworks and industry standards

Language Requirements (Mandatory):

  • Greek: Native proficiency
  • Spanish: Advanced level

Experience:

  • Understanding of civil engineering project planning and oversight
  • Minimum 3-5 years in civil engineering project management, telecommunications background preferred
  • International project involvement considered advantageous
  • Subsurface infrastructure deployment background (fiber optic networks, utilities, or comparable civil construction)

Education & Certification:

  • Project management credential (PMP or similar) strongly preferred
  • Civil Engineering diploma or equivalent qualification
