International Project Manager
Job Description
You will be responsible for managing complex customer-facing global projects (Cross zone + B2B, B2C and B2G) from planning to delivery, ensuring alignment with scope, budget, timeline, and quality standards. The role develops and manages detailed project plans, including resource allocation and scheduling, and handles talent management, performance, and career development. The role addresses high-level concerns, maintains clear communication, monitors project budgets, tracks expenditures, and ensures financial performance.
In this role, you’ll take the lead in driving risk management, overseeing seamless product integration and installation, and championing cross-functional collaboration. As a subject matter expert during the project acquisition phase, you'll play a pivotal role in shaping strategic decisions and ensuring project success from the start.
Your role:
- Leads the planning, execution, and delivery of complex international customer-facing projects, ensuring scope, budget, timeline, and quality goals are met.
- Develops and manages comprehensive global project plans, including resource allocation and milestone tracking for seamless execution.
- Acts as the primary liaison for customers, channel partners, and internal stakeholders, ensuring strong communication, relationship management, and alignment throughout the project lifecycle.
- Monitors project budgets, tracks financial performance, and supports Go/No-go decisions during the acquisition and execution phases.
- Proactively identifies and mitigates project risks to ensure successful delivery and minimal disruption.
- Oversees integration and delivery of products and services at customer sites, ensuring compliance with technical and operational standards.
- Fosters cross-functional collaboration across technical, clinical, and operational teams to align with customer needs.
- Prepares and presents project updates and performance reports to senior management and stakeholders.
- Supports continuous improvement through post-project analysis, lessons learned, and implementation of best practices.
- Provides coaching and on-site support to regional Project Managers to enhance execution capabilities.
- Coordinates with internal functions such as finance, legal, supply chain, and customer service to ensure smooth project realization.
You're the right fit if:
- Minimum 5 years of experience with Bachelor's OR Minimum 3 years of international experience with Master's in areas such as Project Management, Customer Service or equivalent.
- Demonstrated ability to lead and collaborate across diverse cultures, religions, and backgrounds in international settings.
- Clear, professional communicator with a talent for listening actively, providing thoughtful input, and facilitating constructive dialogue.
- A natural leader who proactively drives project management development and takes ownership of results. Acts as a mentor and coach to project managers across all levels.
- Equally comfortable working autonomously and as part of a multidisciplinary, global team. Skilled at navigating complex and dynamic environments.
- Capable of understanding and discussing formal documentation, including contracts, regulatory frameworks, and legal/fiscal implications.
- Passionate about driving innovation, optimizing processes, and delivering exceptional project outcomes.
- Committed to Good Business Practices, Quality Standards, Patient Safety, and professional integrity. Willing to challenge the status quo and speak up when necessary.
- Skilled in high-stakes negotiations with a deep understanding of interpersonal dynamics, stakeholder alignment, and influence.
- Brings international people management experience, motivates teams through empowerment, and consistently leads by example.
- Adept at resolving dilemmas and managing ambiguity across all levels of project management, ensuring alignment with business goals and values.
- English (verbal, writing is a must - minimum C1 level); Dutch, Spanish, French is preferred or considered as a plus.
How we work together
We believe that we are better together than apart. For our office-based teams, this means working in-person at least 3 days per week. Onsite roles require full-time presence in the company’s facilities. Field roles are most effectively done outside of the company’s main facilities, generally at the customers’ or suppliers’ locations.
