PosiGen, a leading provider of sustainable solar solutions, is hiring a Temporary IT Specialist for a 3-month, paid contract position. This is a great opportunity for someone early in their career to gain valuable hands-on experience in IT operations while supporting a mission-driven company working toward energy equity.

In this role, you’ll work closely with our Technology & IT team, supporting both everyday operations and special projects that help power our clean energy mission. If you're tech-savvy, organized, and eager to grow your skills, we’d love to hear from you.

What You’ll Do

• Respond to IT helpdesk tickets and troubleshoot hardware/software issues

• Support device provisioning, setup, and basic maintenance

• Assist with printer and other hardware installation as needed

• Help with data entry, reporting, and documentation

• Streamline internal IT operations, including managing inventory and logistics

• Participate in team meetings and cross-functional collaborations

• Learn industry tools, systems, and processes

• Take on additional tasks as assigned by the Technology team

What We’re Looking For

• Enrolled in or completed a degree or certification in IT, Computer Science, Technology, or a related field

• IT/Helpdesk certifications are a strong plus

• Proficient in Microsoft Office and/or Google Workspace

• Strong problem-solving, communication, and organizational skills

• Ability to manage multiple tasks and work both independently and with a team

• Eagerness to learn and a proactive, can-do attitude

This is an on-site, temporary position based in Shelton, CT, lasting up to 3 months. The role pays up to $18/hour, is not eligible for benefits.

Physical Demands
The physical requirements outlined are essential for performing the core duties of this role.

• Primary responsibilities involve regular speaking, listening, standing, walking, using hands to handle or feel objects, and reaching with arms.
• Occasionally, the role may require sitting, climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, or crawling.
• Employees must be able to frequently lift and move objects weighing up to 10 pounds and occasionally up to 40 pounds.
• Vision requirements include the ability to focus at close and long distances, distinguish colors, maintain peripheral awareness, perceive depth, and make precise focus adjustments.
