About the Role
As a Wind Turbine Technician, you’ll play a critical role in keeping wind turbines running safely and efficiently. This position is primarily full travel, with assignments across the U.S. There are some roles which are location-specific and will be noted on any job posting.
What You’ll Do
- Perform inspections, maintenance, and repairs on wind turbine systems, including mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and drivetrain components.
- Troubleshoot equipment and conduct preventive maintenance to ensure turbine performance and safety.
- Work in varying conditions, including heights up to 300+ feet, confined spaces, and diverse weather.
- Follow strict safety protocols and contribute to a strong safety culture.
- Maintain detailed records of all service and repair activities.

Requirements
What We’re Looking For
- Airstreams School graduate (required)
- Comfortable working at heights, with mechanical/electrical aptitude.
- Strong commitment to safety and teamwork.
- Valid driver’s license and clean driving record; ability to travel extensively.
- Active GWO certifications preferred.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Physical Requirements:
- Must be able to climb on a ladder system with tools and equipment to a height of at least 260 feet.
- Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds unassisted.
- Must be able to climb and work for prolonged periods in potential extreme weather.
- Must be able to enter and exit confined spaces for purpose of accessing mechanical parts.
- Must be able to wear all required personal protective equipment (PPE).
- Must be able to work beyond normal operating hours as determined by business demands.

Salary Description
$20+/hour depending on education and/or experience
