As a part of Linux Team support deliverables, the engineer is required to possess entry to medium knowledge of Linux products and technologies and beginner to intermediate level technical support to global HPE customers. Apply technical knowledge to operate one or more technology areas (e.g. Linux server administration, technical security management and performance management) for customers that are critical or high-risk. Integrate technical knowledge and business understanding to create superior solutions for customers and HPE. Have a strong customer focus and sensitivity in dealing with diverse cultures and ability to learn and adapt quickly
Technical Skills:
• Strong Knowledge in install, configure, troubleshoot and Administration of Linux operating systems (Redhat, CentOS /SUSE) - Level 1+
• Troubleshooting networking issues in Linux environment.
• Should be able to participate in planned DR activities with team.
• Follow the standard Linux tasks based on the available SOPs
• Understanding of fundamental knowledge on High availability technologies (Cluster services in Redhat and SUSE) will be an added advantage
• Good to have Knowledge on Patch deployment solutions
• Maintain the System Security, identify threats and install/configure Software.
• Knowledge on basic Shell / Bash scripting and cronjobs.
• Knowledge of Web Hosting, and DNS Management will be an advantage.
• Perform Server Update and Maintenance on timely basis, Ensure System Backups.
• Monitor Server Performance and Troubleshoot Errors.
• Respond to Tickets, Mails, Customer Calls & Chats and provide immediate technical resolutions to customers.
