Position Overview
The Lead Project Manager will support or be fully responsible for mid/small size execution of Nuclear Turbine Island (TI) and Auxiliary systems projects, primarily under supply scope or/and service jobs of material / services supply for nuclear power projects. The role involves managing complex, multi-disciplinary projects with stringent quality, safety, regulatory, and schedule requirements in line with nuclear industry standards.

The incumbent will act as the single point of contact for customers and internal stakeholders, ensuring successful delivery of projects scope and project closure. May lead small projects with moderate risks and resource requirements.

Work Mode

Hybrid (currently). The role may require working from the office on all working days, based on business/project requirements.

 Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the execution of Nuclear Turbine, Gen. & Auxiliary system projects under supply scope, ensuring adherence to contractual requirements, project schedules, budgets, and quality standards.

  • Manage associated service jobs such as spares supply, site support, erection & commissioning assistance, retrofits, and outage-related services for Nuclear Turbine & Aux. projects.

  • Own overall project planning, monitoring, and control, including engineering, procurement, manufacturing, inspection, logistics, and site coordination.

  • Ensure timely achievement of project milestones and deliverables in line with customer and internal commitments.

  • Interpret and manage customer contracts, specifications, and amendments.

  • Proactively identify, assess, and manage risks and opportunities.

  • Handle change management, claims, variations, and contractual correspondence in coordination with commercial and legal teams.

  • Ensure compliance with invoicing milestones, cash flow targets, and project financial KPIs.

  • Act as the primary interface with customers, consortium partners, and key stakeholders.

  • Lead regular project review meetings with customers and internal management.

  • Ensure timely resolution of customer issues, technical queries, NCRs, and escalations.

  • Build and maintain long-term customer relationships with a focus on transparency and trust.

  • Lead and coordinate cross-functional teams including engineering, procurement, manufacturing, quality, logistics, finance, and site/service teams.

  • Ensure effective communication and alignment across global and local stakeholders.

  • Prepare and present periodic project status reports covering schedule, cost, risk, quality, and cash flow.

  • Escalate critical issues proactively with mitigation plans.

  • Support internal audits, customer audits, and regulatory inspections as required.

  • Domestic and International travel (10-50% ) as required for customer meetings, manufacturing reviews, inspections, and site/service support.

  • Ensure compliance with nuclear quality standards, codes, and regulatory requirements.

  • Drive a strong nuclear safety culture across project execution.

  • Ensure adherence to EHS requirements at manufacturing sites and during service/site activities.

  • External: Customers, Consortium Partners, EPC Contractors, Inspection Agencies, Regulatory Bodies, Suppliers

 

Required Qualifications & Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering

  • Total 10–15 years of total professional experience in project execution, or related roles. Out of this minimum 5 years of hands-on project management experience in executing similar projects within nuclear, power generation, or heavy engineering sectors.

  • Strong understanding of Power Plant, Turbine Island systems and auxiliary equipment.

  • Sound knowledge of project management methodologies and tools.

  • Strong commercial acumen with ability to manage claims and variations.

  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills

  • Ability to manage multiple projects and service Jobs
