Inviting applications for the role of Manager-Agile Business Analyst, Change Transformation Office- Junior Project Manager/ Business Analyst!
In this role, we are seeking a Junior Project Manager/Business Analyst to join our TWD (Trading Wind Down) programme. Assisting the Cross Functional Project Manager and working closely with Group Resilience to manage delivery of a comprehensive operational governance framework underpinning the group’s TWD scenario and operational governance. As part of the delivery, you will also play a part assisting the Cross Functional Project Manager in the consolidation, refinement and definition of the overall end to end refresh of the TWD outputs.
This is a business facing role and given the delivery team is small and agile, the successful candidate is required to be very hands on and will be expected to be on the ground producing relevant project artefacts (process maps, business requirements documents, test strategies etc.). The team is small with a direct line into the program so candidates are expected to perform a mixture of project management (30%)/ business analysis (70%) activities when completing their tasks.
Responsibilities
Assisting the Cross Functional Project Manager, you will be working closely with Group Resilience and other functional areas (Global Markets, Risk, Capital Reporting & Liquidity) in the following deliverables\:
• TWD Scenario Governance
Establish and maintaining the framework that controls how wind down scenarios are defined, approved, and managed. This includes creating clear documentation of the type of TWD scenarios applicable to Group and ensuring proper validation processes are in place. The delivery will also cover how often scenarios should be reviewed and updated, while maintaining testing protocols for new scenario implementations.
• Monitoring and control framework
Define the processes controlling how modifications to scenarios and forecast models are proposed, assessed, and implemented. This includes developing impact assessment methodologies for scenario adjustments, creating validation frameworks for forecast model changes, and establishing governance protocols for model updates. You'll ensure all stakeholders understand the implications of changes to scenarios and forecasting approaches, while maintaining documentation of TWD scenario evolution and assumption updates.
• TWD Scenario Execution Governance
Document underlying processes regarding the execution of TWD scenarios – Matter of Days, Matter of Weeks, Full TWD Plan refresh and Partial Wind down. Facilitate cross functional workshops in the delivery of ensuring execution processes are efficient including items like checks on handshakes of data as well as controls on critical process points.
• Change Management
Define the processes of controlling how modifications to scenarios and forecast models are proposed, assessed, and implemented. You'll ensure all stakeholders understand the implications of changes to scenarios and forecasting approaches, while maintaining documentation applicable to all TWD scenarios used by group.
• Transition to BAU
Consolidate all deliverables above into a comprehensive TWD Framework and Playbook and transition to BAU.
Must Have demonstrated project experience in initiatives where individual has evidenced\:
Delivery of business requirements documents (BRDs) that underpin governance frameworks (e.g. BRDs leading to the production of updated framework documents – e.g. operating model, policies and procedures.
Cross functional project delivery experience – either within a Group or oversight function.
Understanding of financial measures underpinning Risk, Capital and Liquidity in a Trading Book capacity
Understanding of capital market products and derivatives across different asset classes.
Ability to operate in both agile and waterfall style project methodologies and understand deliverables required for each methodology
Strong attention to detail and high-quality standards of documentation, processes and control environment
Detailed knowledge of all Microsoft Office products, i.e. Word, Excel, Power Point, Project and Visio.
Proficiency in data analysis - Pivot Tables, Filters
Excellent and demonstrable understanding of “best practice” approaches to functional testing especially User Acceptance Testing.
Ability to identify any inefficiencies in processes and suggest ideas for automation and/or operating model changes.
Ideally suit a candidate whose background stands out as a hybrid BA/PM previously.
Qualifications we seek in you!
Minimum Qualifications
Minimum years demonstratable working level project delivery experience as a Business Analyst/Project Manager in Capital Markets projects in either Risk, Capital or Liquidity with a preference to have exposure to Recovery and Resolution Planning and ideally Trading Wind Down.
Excellent communication, organization, prioritisation and documentation skills.
Flexibility – adapts effectively to changing plans, domains and priorities; Is open and flexible when faced with changing project constraints.
Deals comfortably with ambiguity – Stays on target to complete goals regardless of obstacles or adverse circumstances.
Proactive and rigorous in terms of follow ups through on all commitments to achieve results.
Preferred Qualifications/ Skills
Proven experience delivering business requirements documents (BRDs) supporting governance frameworks (e.g., operating models, policies, procedures).
Cross-functional project delivery experience within a group or oversight function.
Exposure to Recovery and Resolution Planning, ideally Trading Wind Down processes.
Strong understanding of financial measures underpinning Risk, Capital, and Liquidity in a Trading Book environment.
Knowledge of capital market products and derivatives across multiple asset classes.
