Marine Coordinator

Job content, responsibilities, and possibilities
Based in our Changhua office, you will be responsible for overseeing and coordinating all maritime activities, ensure full compliance with safety and environmental regulations, and facilitate effective communication between vessels, port authorities, and contractors within two of Taiwan’s most prominent Wind Farms. This position is based at our 24/7 Operations Control Centre (OCC) located at the O&M Base, reporting directly to the Senior Operations Manager. As an integral member of our Operations team, you will play a key role in supporting the delivery of best-in-class performance for the projects. 

More specifically, your areas of responsibility will be;

• Communication: Act as the primary point of contact between vessels, port authorities, contractors, and internal teams.
• Vessel Operations Management: Coordinate and oversee vessel onboarding, scheduling, movements, and logistics to ensure timely and efficient operations.
• Training and Certification: Ensure personnel are adequately trained in safety protocols and operational procedures, and possess the necessary certifications required for offshore operations.
• Emergency Response Coordination: Serve as the first point of contact for offshore emergencies, following project dedicated response procedures.
• Documentation and Reporting: Maintain accurate and comprehensive records of vessel activities, permits, logs, and incident reports within the Marine Management System to ensure compliance and operational transparency.
• Operational Planning: Providing strategic support in the planning and execution of marine operations, including the management of manifests, work authorizations, and operating permits to ensure seamless and compliant operations.
• Regulatory Adherence: Monitor and enforce compliance with IMO standards, local maritime laws, and environmental regulations.
• Support 24/7 Operations: Work within a shift-based environment to maintain continuous oversight of marine activities.
• Team Collaboration: Work collaboratively with the Operations and Asset Integrity Management teams, vessel crews, and project contractors to enhance operational efficiency and maintain the highest safety standards.

What you bring and your qualities
The successful applicant must have a minimum of 12 months of experience in a comparable role, preferably within the Offshore Wind industry, although this is not a strict requirement. The successful candidate will demonstrate a thorough understanding of operational processes, the ability to manage multiple systems simultaneously, and the capacity to remain composed under critical situations. Extensive experience in health and safety environments is essential, as this position involves serving as the primary point of contact for emergency response coordination. As part of the 24/7 Operations Control Centre, the candidate should be willing to work on a shift-based rotation. The ideal applicant will be committed to maintaining high standards of quality, implementing best practice procedures, and ensuring full compliance with regulatory requirements.
