THE WORKING ENVIRONMENT
The Department is responsible for all the projects related to the studies and the modifications of existing Belgian nuclear power plants (Doel/Tihange) including Decommissioning projects and LTO (Long Term Operation) projects.
More specifically, the section "Common" cover a broad range of safety studies supporting the operation of the nuclear power plants: nuclear conformity regulations analysis, fuel related studies... It also gather activities related to the management of all decommissioning material and waste and the management of the spent fuel.
Within this Department you are responsible for projects related to the nuclear power plants in Belgium.
YOUR JOB
- You manage and monitor the different phases of the project. You determine the overall time schedule, you control the services provided for the project and you monitor the progress in terms of meeting the delivery times and the expected profitability;
- You collaborate actively with the colleagues from the Métiers and support departments (procurement, finance, risk management...), in building a close relationship and working for the same goal;
- Set up a project organisation in accordance with the needs of the project;
- After consulting the experts, you define the tasks and you empower your project team (that you functionally lead) to carry them out;
- You coordinate the actions at the interfaces between disciplines and verify the adequate integration of the various specialties in the project;
- You organise meetings with the client and support the client, as a partner, in the delivering Tractebel added value to the project;
- You take care of the technical and commercial contacts with the clients and partners, if any, and you define commercial actions when appropriate;
YOUR PROFILE
- You have a master in engineering
- You have 10 to 15 years of professional experience of which at least 5 years as a project manager or assistant project manager. A technical background in the field of safety studies is an asset.
- Knowledge of Belgian NPPs is a strong asset.
- Your mother tongue is French or Dutch (both are an asset). You have good spoken, writing and reading skills in English.
- You are result oriented, you have a strong customer focus, you are a team player in a changing environment
- You have excellent interpersonal and communication skills, you are at ease with contacts. You are dynamic, flexible, able to work under pressure, rigorous. You have the ability to take decisions even in difficult situations.
- You will be located in the Brussels HQ with frequent visits to the Belgian NPP site (Tihange and Doel) and occasionally visits outside Belgium
- Habilitation to access nuclear sites are required.
