Location:

Stillwater Mine - Nye, MT

Schedule:

5x4, 4x5 - 11.5-hour days

Job Responsibilities and Duties:

• Responsible for performing preventative maintenance and repairs of Ball Mills and SAG Mills, gear boxes, centrifugal and vertical turbine pumps, vibrating screens, jaw crushers, cone crushers and conveyor systems
• Perform a variety of building maintenance tasks
• Able to work without direct supervision
• Maintain cleanliness of work areas
• Other tasks as assigned

Qualifications and Skills:

• Millwright or similar background with welding and mechanical experience
• Housekeeping standards maintained to high level
• Basic knowledge of mechanics, hydraulic and pneumatic systems
• General blueprint knowledge
• Ability to work in adverse weather conditions
• Must meet the Task Matrix Proficiency Levels for a Mill Mechanic 1 or 2
• Must meet the Physical Requirements for the Mechanic - Mill Maintenance position (see Physical Requirements and Working Conditions in the HR Office)
• Understanding of and strong commitment to all health, safety, and environmental regulations

Preferred

• Previous mining experience

Education & Experience

• High School Education or GED
