Our client, <\/span><\/span>Waycon Manufacturing Ltd.,<\/span><\/span><\/span> based in Penticton, BC, is a leading industrial equipment and machinery manufacturer serving clients across North America. Known for delivering high\-quality, custom\-built solutions, they support a wide range of industries from a two\-acre facility equipped with advanced in\-house machinery, state\-of\-the\-art tooling, and cutting\-edge engineering technology. Their capabilities span concept design, CNC machining, fabrication, welding, painting, assembly, and testing.<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span>
<\/span><\/span><\/p>

They are seeking an experienced Millwright to join their team, responsible for the daily maintenance and upkeep of all equipment across the facility. In this role, you will play a critical part in ensuring equipment reliability and minimizing downtime, while also supporting the assembly department as required. This position is ideal for a highly skilled, self\-directed individual with strong mechanical expertise and a commitment to safety and efficiency.<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span>

Key Responsibilities:<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/b>
<\/span><\/span><\/p>

  • Perform regular and preventative maintenance on all machinery and equipment;<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span>
    <\/span><\/span><\/span><\/li>
  • Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems;<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span>
    <\/span><\/span><\/span><\/li>
  • Coordinate with production teams to minimize downtime and ensure equipment availability;<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span>
    <\/span><\/span><\/span><\/li>
  • Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, repairs, and inventory counts;<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span>
    <\/span><\/span><\/span><\/li>
  • Assist with the assembly of equipment and machinery as required;<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span>
    <\/span><\/span><\/span><\/li>
  • Assemble OEM machinery and equipment, including installation of reinforced cabs with custom electrical, hydraulic, and HVAC systems;<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span>
    <\/span><\/span><\/span><\/li>
  • Recommend and implement organization, storage, and labeling of tools, materials, and equipment throughout the facility;<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span>
    <\/span><\/span><\/span><\/li>
  • Plan and carry out the removal of redundant materials, tools, and equipment to improve workflow and safety.<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span>

    Requirements<\/h3>
    • Certificate or diploma in Millwright or a related field;<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span>
      <\/span><\/span><\/span><\/li>
    • Minimum 5 years of experience in industrial maintenance or a similar manufacturing environment;<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span>
      <\/span><\/span><\/span><\/li>
    • Strong mechanical aptitude with excellent troubleshooting and problem\-solving skills;<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span>
      <\/span><\/span><\/span><\/li>
    • Comprehensive knowledge of industrial machinery and maintenance best practices;<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span>
      <\/span><\/span><\/span><\/li>
    • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and perform machinery setups;<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span>
      <\/span><\/span><\/span><\/li>
    • Comfortable working independently with minimal supervision while managing multiple priorities;<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span>
      <\/span><\/span><\/span><\/li>
    • Strong communication skills to collaborate effectively with production and maintenance teams;<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span>
      <\/span><\/span><\/span><\/li>
    • Commitment to safety protocols and maintaining a safe working environment;<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span>
      <\/span><\/span><\/span><\/li>
    • Flexibility to respond to urgent maintenance needs and varying shift requirements.<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span>
