Duties & Responsibilities
- Install, repair, maintain, and troubleshoot a variety of mechanical production process equipment across the plant.
- Conduct planned and unplanned maintenance on all mechanical equipment within the preparation plant, including conveyors, crushers, pumps, screens, and chutes to ensure operational efficiency.
- Diagnose mechanical problems and determine how to correct them, checking blueprints, repair manuals, and parts catalogs as necessary.
- Respond to mechanical issues during plant operations, providing immediate troubleshooting and repair to minimize downtown and disruptions.
- Ensure all maintenance and repair work is conducted in accordance with company policy, applicable safety procedures, and regulatory compliance.
- Participate in safety meetings and training, and contribute to the ongoing improvement of safety practices and equipment reliability.
- Maintain detailed logs of maintenance work, including repairs made, parts used, and machine status updates.
- Update and maintain technical documentation, including schematics and operational manuals, to reflect changes or installations of new equipment.
- Work closely with other maintenance staff and plant operations personnel to coordinate maintenance activities and improve plant efficiency.
- Other duties and tasks as assigned.
Education, Experience & Qualification
- Red Seal Certification (Millwright)
- A minimum of 4-5 years of related industrial experience, specifically in a maintenance capacity within a mining or similar heavy industrial environment.
- Completion of Grade 12.
- Valid Driver’s License.
Technical Competencies & Skills
- Able to work 12-hour day and night shifts; on a 8x6 rotation.
- Self-motivated, team player with a positive attitude and the ability to work with minimal supervision.
- Physical fitness to perform labor-intensive tasks, including working at heights and in tight areas.
- Understanding of mining processes and mine monitoring control systems (operations and maintenance).
- Good English communication skills both oral and written.
- Willingness to work in adverse weather conditions.
- Proven safety and attendance record.
- Knowledge of computer maintenance systems.

Conuma Resources is proud to offer industry-competitive wages and a comprehensive benefits package. The hourly rate for Red Seal Certified Millwrights is $58.00 per hour.
