Here’s what we’re looking for:
- Grade 12 and a Red Seal-qualified artisan
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in a plastics manufacturing environment
- Solid track record with injection, compression, or blow moulding machinery
- Cool head under pressure and a hands-on approach
- Sharp communicator and solid team player
- Comfortable with CMMS, SAP, JDE, or Shopware systems (or quick to learn)
What you’ll be doing :
- Keep shifts running smoothly and efficiently, hitting all key production metrics
- Handle both planned and preventative maintenance—electrical and mechanical
- Respond swiftly to breakdowns, diagnose issues, and get machines back on track
- Dig into the root causes and reduce downtime
- Check products for quality and compliance before they move down the line
- Make process changes as needed—quickly and confidently
- Manage proper shift handovers so the next team hits the ground running
- Open and close job cards accurately using Shopware
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organised work area
- Report any unsafe conditions or actions immediately
- Follow all health and safety rules—no shortcuts
- Apply company policies and procedures across the board
