What will you do?

You will be involved in designing and delivering the future of our clients' payments strategy, operating models, architecture and customer journeys.

Your work will be about supporting our clients in the transformation of Payments operations to keep up with new customer behaviour and technology innovation. You will help to improve the capabilities of payment market infrastructures and financial institutions, and players across value chain (Payment Service Providers, Fintech, Retail).


Your responsibilities will include:

As a Project Manager in Payments, you'll drive critical initiatives, ensuring seamless execution and successful outcomes. Your responsibilities include:

  • Develop and manage comprehensive project plans, guiding payment-related projects from concept to completion.

  • Contribute to robust program governance, effectively managing stakeholders and collaborating with initiative owners and Business Program Managers.

  • Oversee project delivery, including monitoring, reporting, and adapting agile methodologies for efficient execution.

  • Coordinate contributions from diverse teams to achieve end-to-end delivery of payment solutions.

  • Proactively assess risks and manage issues, ensuring smooth program progression and mitigating potential roadblocks.

  • Handle capacity planning and resource management, optimizing team performance and project timelines.

  • Assist with financial management, overseeing budgets and supporting the development of strong business cases for payment initiatives.

Job requirements

Your skills and qualifications

  • 7 years’ experience with demonstrated experience in managing complex projects or programs

  • Previous experience in Payments-related initiatives within a Consultancy, a Bank or a Payment services provider

  • In-depth knowledge of payment systems and technologies

  • Strong knowledge Project Management methodologies (Agile, Prince2, PMBok,…)

  • Proven leadership and excellent communicator

  • Diplomatic and strong stakeholder management skills

  • Structured approach and goal-oriented

  • Fluency in English (Dutch or French is a strong plus)

  • Passion for Payments: A dedication to driving innovation and operational excellence in the payments industry, with up-to-date knowledge of market trends, emerging technologies and regulatory developments.


Strong plus if you have subject matter knowledge in areas such as:

  • Payments and Core Banking.

  • Instant Payments

  • SWIFT innovations

  • Market Infrastructure

  • Clearing & Settlement.

  • Cards / Digital Payments.

  • Corporate Payments and Treasury.

  • PSD2, Open Banking and Embedded Finance.

  • Retail and mobile Payments.

  • (Central Bank) Digital currencies (including blockchain technology)

  • Financial messaging (MT & ISO 20022)
