Role Overview

We are looking for a Senior Pipeline & Riser Engineer to support early-phase design and technical follow-up for offshore pipeline systems, with additional involvement in onshore assets when required. The scope covers preliminary studies, design review, and technical support during all project phases—from conceptual studies to detailed engineering and asset operations.

This role is embedded within a multidisciplinary technical team and involves collaboration with internal departments, external engineering contractors, and operational affiliates worldwide.

Main Responsibilities

  • Conduct preliminary design for offshore rigid pipelines and risers (shallow and deepwater), including shore crossings (open trench and trenchless).

  • Follow international codes (DNV, ASME, API) and company design standards during all design stages.

  • Provide design review and technical support during FEED and Detailed Engineering phases:

    • Review contractor deliverables

    • Respond to Technical Queries

    • Participate in design meetings

    • Draft technical recommendation memos

  • Support affiliates in integrity assessment and life extension strategies for existing pipeline systems:

    • Recommend inspection, monitoring, and repair plans

    • Contribute to requalification and decommissioning studies

  • Participate in technical reviews (cold eyes, audits, value engineering)

  • Contribute to lessons learned and continuous improvement of internal specifications

  • Occasionally support onshore pipeline design and reviews as needed

Technical Requirements

  • Minimum 10 years of experience in rigid pipeline and riser design (offshore shallow and deep water)

  • Solid understanding of onshore pipeline engineering

  • Proficient in relevant offshore and onshore design codes:

    • DNV ST F101, DNV ST F201

    • ASME B31.8, ASME B31.4

    • API STD 2RD, API RP 1111

    • Familiarity with ISO 13623 is a plus

  • Experience with flexible pipelines, composite materials (TCP), or pre-commissioning is a plus

  • Languages: English and French required

Working Environment

You’ll be part of a specialized engineering team of ~20 professionals focusing on the full spectrum of offshore and onshore pipeline challenges: from materials and welding to installation and inspection. The broader technical division includes experts in corrosion, geotechnical, structural, and other key domains.
