PKI Certificate Automation Engineer

Dragonfli seeks an experienced Automation Engineer to support a large federal agency on an engagement focused on Public Key Infrastructure (PKI) certificate automation. The ideal candidate will bring deep expertise in Venafi as well as scripting capabilities to streamline certificate lifecycle management.

This role is fully remote but requires candidates to reside and work from within the continental United States. This role requires U.S. Citizenship or Lawful Permanent Residency. 

Responsibilities:

• Design and implement automated solutions for PKI certificate issuance and renewal
• Configure and manage Venafi Trust Protection Platform
• Develop scripts and automation workflows using PowerShell, Python, or other appropriate tools
• Collaborate with internal security and infrastructure teams to align automation with compliance requirements
• Monitor PKI systems for performance, reliability, and certificate expiration
• Document procedures and automation scripts in accordance with agency standards
• Participate in project stand-ups, reporting, and outcome-based tracking activities

• Minimum 4 years of hands-on experience with Venafi
• Scripting experience (e.g., PowerShell, Python) preferred

• Venafi Trust Protection Platform

• Secure configuration and compliance documentation
