We are seeking a detail-oriented and skilled Procurement Officer (Expatriate) to manage sourcing, negotiation, and purchasing of quality raw materials, components and services in a cost-effective and timely manner. 

This role ideal candidate will have experience in supply chain management, negotiation, vendor relations and a solid understanding of the renewable energy and manufacturing sector.


Responsibilities
  • Identify and develop new suppliers.
  • Source, evaluate, and manage suppliers of raw materials and production equipment.
  • Ensure timely procurement of materials to avoid production delays.
  • Negotiate contracts, pricing, and payment terms with suppliers and service providers.
  • Monitor inventory levels and place orders as needed in collaboration with the production and inventory teams.
  • Ensure compliance with company procurement policies and quality standards.
  • Maintain accurate procurement records and update the procurement database regularly.
  • Analyze market trends to forecast demand and minimize purchasing costs.
  • Assist in identifying cost-saving opportunities and alternative suppliers.
  • Collaborate with technical and engineering teams to understand product specifications and procurement requirements.
  • Coordinate with logistics and warehousing teams to ensure timely delivery and proper storage of materials.

Requirements


  • 5+ years of procurement experience (manufacturing/renewable energy preferred)
  • Bachelor or Master’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Procurement, Engineering or a related field.
  • Proven working experience as a procurement officer or head of procurement or supply chain.
  • Strong knowledge of supply chain principles and procurement best practices.
  • Hands on experience in handling supply contracts both at local, regional and global levels.
  • Excellent negotiation, communication and vendor management skills
  • Analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Familiarity with solar panel materials and industry trends.
  • Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities.
  • Ability to be creative and innovative in finding solutions and negotiating strategies.
  • Ability to communicate with a diverse audience at various levels and all countries and cultures within the organization.
  • Proficient in utilizing E-sourcing platforms.
