Indigeco is partnering with a not-for-profit organisation to recruit a Program Manager to deliver a high-impact mentoring initiative for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander students in Year 9 and 10.
Only Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander people are eligible to apply.
ABOUT THE PROGRAM:
This mentoring program empowers secondary school students to strengthen their cultural identity, build confidence, and explore career pathways through storytelling, creativity, and culturally safe learning experiences. Students connect with mentors from industry and community, gaining the tools and networks to shape their own futures.
THE ROLE:
As Program Manager, you will play a central role in managing, facilitating, and building relationships that bring this program to life. Working closely with schools, students, corporate partners, and communities, you will ensure delivery is culturally safe, engaging, and impactful.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Program Management
- Lead end-to-end coordination of the program — planning, scheduling, delivery, and reporting.
- Monitor outcomes and contribute to continuous program improvement.
- Manage logistics, data, and compliance requirements.
Facilitation - Deliver engaging sessions with students and mentors.
- Lead mentor briefings and support facilitators to create positive, culturally safe learning environments.
- Travel to schools and workplaces to deliver the program.
Relationship Management - Build and maintain strong relationships with schools, educators, and Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities.
- Partner with corporate stakeholders to ensure effective mentoring experiences.
- Act as the key contact for schools, supporting student recruitment and program logistics.
KEY REQUIREMENTS: - Strong commitment to empowering and supporting Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander students.
- Experience in program management, including planning, delivery, and reporting.
- Skilled facilitator with experience engaging young people and adult mentors.
- Excellent relationship-building skills across diverse stakeholders.
- Organised, confident communicator, and collaborative team member.
- Willingness to travel to schools in Sydney as required for program delivery.
