Project Manager – Capital Equipment Manufacturing (On-site, Riverside County, CA)
We are seeking a Project Manager to join our team on-site in Riverside County, California. This role involves managing complex capital equipment projects from contract award through final delivery and customer acceptance.
The company designs and manufactures high-temperature vacuum furnaces and coating systems used in industries such as aerospace, energy, additive, and precision manufacturing. Our team combines advanced technology with strong engineering expertise to deliver reliable, high-performance industrial equipment solutions.
Qualifications & Experience

  • Associate degree (or higher) from an accredited institution, demonstrating competencies in communication, budget control, and capital equipment manufacturing.
  • Minimum 5 years of project management experience with similar capital equipment sales.
    • Must show ability to manage projects ranging from $100K to $7.5M, with proven success in controlling budget, schedule, and client communication.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including MS Project.
  • Willingness to travel approximately 25% of the time.
Key Responsibilities
  • Contract Administration: Review customer purchase orders and specifications; acknowledge and confirm order details related to heat treatment or capital equipment systems.
  • Budget Control: Analyze and manage project budgets for materials and manpower; monitor and report cost variances; implement corrective actions for deviations.
  • Project Scheduling: Develop and maintain project schedules covering engineering, materials procurement, manufacturing, installation, and commissioning phases.
  • Project Implementation:
    • Lead internal and customer meetings and prepare meeting minutes.
    • Review engineering drawings and production progress.
    • Obtain customer approvals for shipment and project completion.
  • Management Reporting: Provide continuous updates on project status and prepare closing reports at project completion.
  • Scope Documentation: Develop scope-of-work documents for subcontract manufacturing partners.
  • Project Load Management: Manage multiple projects simultaneously with varying durations, products, and deliverables.
  • Travel: Typically includes at least two customer site visits per project, primarily within North America (U.S., Canada, Mexico).
