About the role

Working as the Project Manager you will lead the organization-wide upgrade of 1300+ devices from Windows 10 to Windows 11. This role is critical to ensuring compliance with Microsoft’s end-of-life timelines and maintaining operational continuity.

Key responsibilities of this role are:

  • Develop and manage the Windows 11 upgrade project plan, including timelines, milestones, and resource allocation.
  • Coordinate with internal IT teams and external vendors to ensure smooth execution.
  • Oversee application compatibility assessments and workarounds for legacy systems.
  • Manage stakeholder communications, providing regular updates on progress, risks, and mitigation strategies.
  • Ensure project delivery within the 11-month timeframe before Windows 10 extended support ends in October 2026.
  • Monitor and report on project performance, budget adherence, and risk management.

About You

To be successful in this role you will hold a degree level qualification preferably majoring in Business or Information Technology as well as certification in either PMP or PRINCE2.

You will have:

  • Proven experience managing Windows 11 or similar OS upgrade projects in large-scale environments and strong knowledge of IT infrastructure, SOE deployment, and enterprise device management.
  • Experience in government or regulatory environments.
  • Knowledge of application compatibility testing and remediation strategies.
  • Excellent project planning, coordination, and stakeholder engagement skills.
  • Familiarity with risk management and change management frameworks.
  • Ability to work under tight deadlines and manage competing priorities
