Purpose of Position:
We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Project Manager to assist with the leadership of cross-functional teams in delivering innovative solutions that improve human performance, including extended reality (XR) delivery methods, human digital twins, digital transformation tools, and other human-centered technology solutions. This role will assist in overseeing project planning, execution, and delivery across research and engineering domains, ensuring alignment with client goals and internal milestones. We seek motivated, self-starters who can work independently in a very short timeframe, while rapidly progressing toward the ability lead task execution and projects.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Assist in leading and managing complex R&D and software development projects from initiation through delivery.
- Assist in developing project scopes, schedules, budgets, and resource plans using SOWs and estimating techniques.
- Coordinate cross-functional teams including engineers, researchers, quality assurance teams, and designers.
- Assist in driving teams toward successful completion of project milestones.
- Facilitate user-centered design processes, including requirements gathering, usability testing, and stakeholder engagement.
- Monitor project risks and help implement mitigation strategies.
- Prepare and present technical reports, proposals, and client updates.
- Support proposal development and contribute to technical writing.
- Promote company products and services at customer sites and industry events.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Business, Engineering, Human Factors, Psychology, or other technical field related to typical company projects.
- 3+ years of experience in project management, preferably in R&D or software development.
- Some experience or knowledge of technical project execution and processes. Experience in human-centered design, system engineering, or agile methodologies highly desired.
- Excellent communication, leadership, and organizational skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office. Experience or familiarity with project management tools (e.g., MS Project, Jira) highly desired.
- Progress toward Project Management Institute (PMI) certification appropriate to experience level or equivalent desired.
Experience: Minimum 2 years in Project Management or Scrum
Travel: Position requires a minimum amount of local, overnight and extended travel.
Physical Functions/Environment:
- Position requires a moderate to high amount of local, overnight and extended travel.
- Physical requirements involve performing general office activities.
