JFT is looking for a Project Manager to join our team in Loveland, CO. JFT offers work from home flexibility and a 9/80 work schedule with every other Friday off.

The anticipated closing date for this posting is 1/31/26 and applications will be reviewed on a rolling basis.

Job Function:

At JFT, the Project Manager leads multidisciplinary engineering and fabrication projects from concept through delivery. The ideal candidate brings strong technical understanding, organizational skills, and the ability to manage multiple concurrent efforts in a fast-paced environment.

Prior nuclear experience is helpful but not required. We welcome candidates from industrial, energy, aerospace, manufacturing, or other highly engineered project backgrounds who are eager to grow within the nuclear and high-hazard sectors.

Core Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Lead all aspects of project execution including engineering, production, subcontract management, and customer coordination.
  • Manage budgets, schedules, and scope-ensuring technical, cost, and quality performance.
  • Administer contracts and change processes; prepare and negotiate proposals, cost estimates, and change orders.
  • Develop and maintain project schedules and resource plans in collaboration with internal teams.
  • Track project financials, forecast cost and labor needs, and provide clear and timely reporting.
  • Oversee subcontractor and supplier performance, ensuring compliance with project requirements.
  • Support business development through proposal preparation, technical input, and customer engagement.
  • Prepare project status updates, meeting materials, and presentations as needed.

Typical Working Conditions:

Primarily an office environment with periodic exposure to the fabrication/machine shop and outdoor testing areas

Physical Requirements:

Must be able to work on a computer, standing or sitting, for most of the day and operate standard office equipment. Ability to communicate effectively in writing and verbally with team members, customers and vendors is essential. May occasionally lift and carry items, typically under 25lbs.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Bachelors in Engineering or related discipline, or equivalent practical experience.
  • 4+years of progressive project management experience in engineering, fabrication, or technical environments.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage complex, multidisciplinary projects and subcontractors.
  • Strong communication, organization, and leadership skills.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Project and Excel; Primavera P6 experience is a plus.
  • PMP certification is a plus.
  • Occasional travel may be required, typically less than 10%.

This role requires immediate and routine access to restricted information under federal law, including but not limited to Export Controlled Information (ECI), Unclassified Controlled Nuclear Information (UCNI), Controlled Unclassified Information (CUI), Department of Energy Official Use Only (DOE OUO), and/or ITAR‑controlled technical data. Under applicable DOE orders and client contracts, non‑U.S. citizen candidates (including lawful permanent residents) may require an approved DOE Foreign National Visit/Assignment (FNVA) before beginning work or accessing project information. Because this position requires immediate access and project timelines do not accommodate new government approval processing, JFT may be unable to initiate or sponsor new FNVA approval processes or defer start dates pending FNVA approval for this role. Accordingly, hiring and placement into this role is contingent on the candidate's eligibility to access the required information and facilities as of the start date, including having any required government approvals already in place.
