Our expertise spans multiple sectors, including Transport, Water Infrastructure, Education, Health, Airports, and Ports. We believe in sharing real-world knowledge, leaving our clients better equipped to navigate New Zealand’s complex project pathways.

The Opportunity:

We are seeking a skilled Infrastructure Project Manager to join our Wellington team. Work alongside a motivated, close-knit team that values collaboration, growth, and delivering excellence. You’ll take ownership of complex civil infrastructure projects, leading delivery from start to finish and ensuring outcomes meet client expectations. There’s also a clear pathway for growth, with opportunities to mentor junior team members and develop the skills that will prepare you for future leadership responsibilities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage the delivery of civil infrastructure projects across all phases, ensuring outcomes meet client expectations.
  • Coordinate multidisciplinary teams, contractors, and consultants to achieve project objectives.
  • Engage with clients, councils, and stakeholders to build strong relationships and maintain trust.
  • Monitor and manage project risks, costs, timelines, and quality.
  • Support and mentor junior team members, fostering a collaborative and learning-focused environment.
  • Contribute to project planning, procurement, and contract administration in line with NZ standards and local authority processes.

About You:

To succeed in this role, you will bring:

  • A tertiary qualification in civil engineering or a related discipline.
  • At least 5 years of project management experience delivering horizontal civil infrastructure projects in New Zealand (e.g., 3 Waters, rail, road capital works, and/or network asset renewals).
  • Strong technical grounding in civil design, construction methodologies, and infrastructure delivery.
  • Experience coordinating multidisciplinary teams and managing contractors and consultants.
  • Skilled in risk, cost, time, and quality management, with a solutions-focused approach.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, able to engage with councils, stakeholders, and community groups.
  • Familiarity with NZ standards, local authority processes, procurement, and contract administration is desirable.
  • A desire to grow into people leadership – you’ll start by mentoring junior staff and will be supported to develop the skills and experience needed for future line management responsibilities.
