OVERVIEW: The Project Manager is a member of HOUs Management Team and a key member of the Relocation Team. The Project Manager interfaces regularly with numerous clients, supervises a team of staff, and oversees the project life cycle. The Project Manager directs multiple relocation sites, often across various geographies. The Project Manager will represent HOU at internal and external events and is expected to lead with integrity while advancing HOUs mission and reputation.


STATUS: Full-Time, Exempt


RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Participates in project-specific, internal kick-off meetings with the Leadership Team, APM and Relocation Coordinator, and/or onsite staff for the purposes of initial planning for the project.
  • Works closely with Regional Director to determine what is appropriate for the site in terms of staffing, project complexity, etc.
  • Responsible for submission of all required relocation plans to appropriate funder(s) in a timely manner.
  • Engages in new business development and works in conjunction with the Regional Director to draft new business proposals and budgets.
  • Regularly interfaces with the client to ensure satisfaction with HOU performance.
  • Working with the Director of Operations, ensuring successful set-up, implementation, and close-out of multiple relocation sites.
  • Responsible for preparation of final closeout report and client interview/debrief.
  • Work with the CLO to ensure all staff complete requisite HOU trainings.
  • Completes final review of all monthly invoices and site balances before they are sent to the client.
  • Anticipates and flags to Regional Director any budget concerns. Suggesting a plan to address any over/underspending.
  • Reviews relocation plans quarterly with APM to determine if relocation is on track, any challenges encountered to date, and possible course corrections.
  • Responsible for drafting and obtaining client signatures on contract amendments and/or extensions due to increased scope of work or any major changes to the relocation plan.
  • Participates in weekly meetings with APMs to review site progress, challenges, budget issues, invoice concerns, etc.
  • Train APMs with recording expenses and site invoicing in Concur
  • Visits all sites under her/his purview on a quarterly basis (and as needed) to provide support and assistance to the APM and/or onsite staff at these sites.
  • Ensures staff are maintaining confidentiality of resident and HOU information via file security protocols as well as implementing computer data security systems.
  • Oversees hiring, terminations, status changes, and performance management decisions for site staff.
  • Complete staff performance evaluations twice a year; months of September (annual review) and March (mid-review).
  • Ensures APM completes quarterly file audits and missing/incomplete documents are obtained/completed.
  • Ensures completion of comprehensive project reports and project plans to track site progress.
  • Responsible for providing meaningful content to HOUs webpage at least once per quarter.
  • Participates in monthly meetings with APMs and Relocation Coordinators.
  • Work closely with the Leadership Team on system-wide improvements.
  • Contributes ideas for additional employee training and personnel development based upon needs identified through employee evaluation.
  • Ensure safety protocols are being followed at each site.
  • Completes annual trainings as required.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

  • Experience in relocation services
  • Excellent interpersonal skills
  • Capacity to be supportive and hold staff accountable for performance
  • Able to work with diverse populations and to communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Excellent project management skills and ability to work under time constraints on a variety of projects and tasks
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Familiar with Microsoft Office Suite and Project Management software
  • Ability to support, mentor, lead and organize staff
  • Must be solution-based driven
  • Positive attitude and a propensity to learn
  • Ability to lead company-wide efforts to support service delivery models
