Who are we looking for?   

The Linear Infrastructure Water Group is looking for a Project Manager- Water Conveyance/Pump Stations in one of our Northern or Southern California offices (Irvine, San Diego, Long Beach, Concord, Sacramento, Roseville, or Santa Rosa)! This is a project-focused role where you will have the opportunity to demonstrate your technical expertise and knowledge on challenging water conveyance projects. The position will consist of managing projects and staff while supporting business development and client relationship management.  We are seeking self-motivated and active networkers who value building credible relationships with clients and the community.

Working with an energetic and high performing team, this position offers a variety of work and will see you involved in: 

  • Serve as Project Manager for the condition assessment, planning, rehabilitation, design, and construction of water, wastewater, and recycled water conveyance projects
  • Communicate regularly with the client, obtaining two-way feedback and input
  • Coordinate with Project Director, Business Group Leader, and Engineering Design Organization Leadership to assemble the project team and regularly review the project
  • Develop a clear project description that defines the scope of work and deliver the project within budget and on time, and to program, in accordance with the work plan
  • Provide hands-on technical guidance to engineers and technical staff in delivering ongoing municipal, water and wastewater projects
  • Provide mentorship of project engineers and designers in the development of their engineering and design skills
  • Contribute to the preparation of proposals and assist in the development and maintenance of client relationships

What you will bring to the team:

  • Bachelor of Science Degree in Engineering (Civil, Environmental, or similar); Masters Degree preferred
  • Registered Professional Engineer in the State of California
  • Minimum 7 years of civil engineering experience with a focus on design and construction of water and wastewater infrastructure projects
  • Proven experience preparing complex engineering analysis and planning
  • Experience in developing project scope, schedule, and budget
  • Strong technical writing skills
  • Must be able to work on multiple assignments simultaneously; and have strong organizational, problem solving, communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills
  • Expertise using Microsoft Excel and other relevant software
  • Experience leading a team of engineers and technical staff
  • Experience in project delivery

Salary Range: $117,000 - $175,000 based on experience.
