POSITION SUMMARY:

This position’s primary responsibility is to oversee, track, manage, and organize a large variety of District projects.

Work Schedule: Monday thru Friday 7 AM to 3:30 PM, and as needed (half hour lunch)

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Assist with contracts and contractors doing work for and in the LWRSD.
  • Assist with budget preparation.
  • Schedule various LWRSD projects (small and large) in coordination with LWRSD approved vendors or LWRSD staff.
  • Organize and track department project lists for Operations Director.
  • Coordinate efforts of other departments/divisions to execute resolution of issues.
  • Responsible for obtaining bids, generating contracts and submitting change order requests associated with LWRSD business.
  • Read and interpret construction plans, property surveys, and legal documents.
  • Assist in the oversight of field construction to ensure adherence to construction schedules, providing for timely delivery of product.
  • Provide support to address resident requests or complaints.
  • Assist with review of legal descriptions and easement preparation.
  • Assist with plat dedication reviews.
  • Assist with County Turnovers of Required Improvements (e.g. roadways, utilities, etc.).
  • Administration of Surety Bonding of Required Improvements.
  • Assist with County Permitting and reports submittals.
  • Coordinate with other staff on an as needed basis to review results and other project-related issues.
  • Miscellaneous duties as assigned.

SKILLS & ABILITIES:

Preference for experience with construction management, real estate law, paralegal, or project management.

  • Must be extremely organized.
  • Must have high level computer skills - at a minimum Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook and Adobe.
  • General knowledge and experience with construction projects and contracting.
  • Requires very strong interpersonal and leadership skills in working with diverse disciplines and regulatory agencies.
  • Excellent customer service skills.
  • Leadership & professionalism.


WORK ENVIRONMENT: A mix of office and on-site, outside work.
