PAY: DOE

Purpose and Scope: The Quality Manager is responsible for leading the development, implementation, and enforcement of the company's quality management systems. This role ensures that products and processes meet established quality standards and customer expectations through strategic planning, continuous improvement initiatives, and effective cross-functional collaboration. The Quality Manager oversees quality assurance operations, manages departmental resources and budgets, and serves as the internal expert on quality systems, driving organizational excellence and compliance across all levels of the company.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Defines and implements internal quality procedures.
  • Establish and enforce key performance indicators (KPIs) to track the effectiveness of quality control processes and identify areas for improvement.
  • Investigates quality customer complaints and initiates Action Plans for mitigation.
  • Develops and approves responses to customer and internal corrective action requests and assures implementation of corrective actions.
  • Enforce conformance to implemented policies, operating procedures, quality systems and programs which ensure proper testing, evaluation, inspection, and technical support to meet product safety and quality standards.
  • Participate in plant wide collaboration efforts, including meetings, problem solving exercises, and development of action plans.
  • Establish and promote a work environment that supports the company Quality policy, Quality objectives and Quality system. Internal expert/resource on all quality systems implemented.
  • Develop and implement quality control strategies, policies, and procedures to ensure consistent delivery of high-quality products or services.
  • Provide leadership on continuous improvement initiatives
  • Supervises, oversees, and/or guides activities of inspection personnel and ensures all inspections are compliant with quality system objectives and customer requirements.
  • Collects and analyzes quality information, develops reports and action plans for Management Review.
  • Liaisons with Engineering, Manufacturing and Purchasing to create quality plans, monitor suppliers, control processes and ensure order fulfillment.
  • Manage resources for manufacturing work instructions (WIs) and manufacturing quality plans (MPQP).
  • Assist Customer Service as necessary
  • Manage Quality Department budget
  • Monitors corrective and preventive action timelines and verify effectiveness.
  • Other duties assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Education: Bachelor's degree in related field.
  • Experience:
    • Minimum of 5 years' supervisory experience
    • Minimum 10 years of relevant experience, preferably in manufacturing.
    • Experience with Entrepreneurial Operating System (EOS) preferred
    • Thorough knowledge of quality system standards and international quality system standards, including compliance to IS9001
    • Experience in full-cycle Root Cause Analysis
    • Excellent verbal/written communication skills
    • Strong organizational, problem solving, and analytical skills
    • Proficient in the use of PC, business and technical software
